Piano is a very popular instrument in Hong Kong and, as a result, there are many independent "piano stores" specialized in providing private piano classes and selling pianos. On the other hand, the number of music stores, which sell a whole range of musical products or high quality instruments, is limited.
Opened in 1953, Tom Lee Music is the most famous retailer and wholesaler of all kinds of musical instruments, publications and other accessories in the region. In addition, it provides a wide variety of private music courses. Tom Lee Music also provides professional sound and lighting engineering services/equipment for concert halls and recording studios.
Parsons Music was founded in 1986 and has developed into one of the largest music stores in the region. It provides retail, maintenaince and tranining services (instrument classes) through many its branches in the region and major cities in China.
